The d’Alessandro Winery was founded in 2006 with the aim of reinterpreting, within a modern context, the traditional wines of Sicily.

Its technological innovation lies in the harnessing of alternative sources of energy to help power its production. The Winery’s more than 800m² of solar panels make d’Alessandro unique among its kind.

The new cellar, of around 2100 m² and designed by the Rome-based Studio Fontanesi, draws inspiration from traditional Sicilian rural architecture. Situated just a few kilometres from the city of Agrigento and the historic Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the structure is surrounded by over 2.5ha of land.

A young and dynamic team, heirs of century-old family traditions with strong ties to the local area, presents itself to the public with unique wines born through an alliance between tradition and innovation formulated by the oenologist Tonino Guzzo.
